【マナー講座】美しい歩き方で好感度アップ！

皆さんは自分の立ち姿をしっかり見たことはありますか？
あまり意識していない方が多いのではないでしょうか。
しかし、面接、式典はもちろんのこと日常生活でも歩き姿を多くの人に見られています。
そこで、今回は杉野服飾大学の水上先生をお迎えして美しい歩き方について学びました。

まずは、立ち方を写真に撮って確認。
「右肩があがってる」「意外と猫背だった」とショックを受ける声が聞こえてきました。
早速、水上先生より美しく立つ方法を実践的に指導していただきました。（筆者はまっすぐ立つだけでも腰が痛かったです。）
最後は美しい姿勢をキープしながら歩きました。
日常生活でも今回の学びを活かし素敵な女性へと成長していって欲しいと思います。

【家庭科】甘くてキュートなライオン

221021食文化２

服部栄養専門学校の先生をお迎えしてマジパンの扱い方を学びました。
マジパンとは、アーモンド粉末と砂糖を混ぜ合わせたお菓子のことです。
ヨーロッパではそのまま食べられることも多いポピュラーなお菓子だそうですが、日本ではデコレーションケーキの飾りとして用いられることが多いです。

今回は全員マジパンを扱うのは初めてということで、全員でライオンを作ることになりました。
思った以上に小さなパーツをたくさん作らなければならずみんなで悪戦苦闘。
筆者は目のパーツを紛失しました・・。
何とか完成した個性あふれるライオンたちは11月３日（祝）の記念祭にて展示いたします。
学校説明会に参加される受験生の皆さんは是非お立ち寄りください。

【体育】高3ハンドボール最終戦

高3ハンドボール授業ラストDayです。
あいにくの雨でゴールを使ってのゲームはできませんでしたが特別ルールで体育館にて実施しました。
とても盛り上がりました。

【中間テスト】行事の実、勉強の実

ついこの間まで暑かったような気もしますが、すっかり秋も深まってきましたね！
生徒たちは、２学期中間試験の真っ最中です。
この後には、創立記念祭（文化祭）も控えており、行事の準備に、勉強にと大忙しでした。
皆のがんばりが、大きく実る秋になるといいなと思います。

【情報】ウェブサイト完成まで一歩前進

高１情報では、プログラミング教材『ライフイズテックレッスン』を使って、テキストコーディングを学んでいます。
現在は、それぞれの設定した目的に合わせて、オリジナルウェブサイトの制作を進めています。
各自がデザインしたサイトに少しずつ仕上がっているようで、皆楽しそうに取り組んでいました。
生徒同士で教え合う様子も見られ、個人作業が多いながら、協力して学んでいる姿がうれしかったです。

Time goes by so fast, but memories stay forever.  I hope I can come visit again in the near future, and wish you all the best in your journey moving forward.  Thank you to all of the students and teachers who helped guide me, and for the fun conversations that let us get to know each other better.  My experience in Japan would never be as great as it was if it wasn't for all of you. 


Thank you for everything, everyone!  Everyone is amazing and I'm glad I got to meet all if you. And I will miss you!

I've always said that I hoped we could improve together, both learning Japanese and English, and I still wish that even now.  I will continue to study Japanese, so I hope you all will continue to enjoy learning English.

 

You all gave me so much energy, and made me so happy. We shared jokes, stories, and I enjoyed getting to know all of you, as well as Japan.  I've enjoyed learning about the culture, history, and people here, and will take everything I've learned with me when I return to America.

■Danii's Message (Part 1) 

Thank you to everyone who made my last day at Seijo with all of you special.  I am very sad to leave, but I'm glad to have met all of you.  The memories I made here with you all I will remember forever!

I had a lot of firsts here.  It was my first time overseas, first time living by myself, and first time teaching.  I remember being so nervous my first day, but students quickly came up to greet me, and made me feel so welcome as soon as I arrived, and my worries went away.

■A Texas Summer (part 2) 

How do Texans keep cool during the summer?  Here are a few ways.  First, indoor entertainment.  Going to places such as indoor arcades, ice skating, and shopping malls let us have fun while staying cool. 

Another way we stay cool is ice cream!  We have a lot of ice cream and frozen yogurt shops to choose from.  They let you put several toppings such as cookies, candy, and mochi, and some even have drive-thrus so you don't have to get out of your car. 

Lastly, and maybe most importantly, to stay cool during the summer, we like to go swimming! Many people either have their own pools, or will go to indoor or outdoor water parks with their friends and family. It's important to stay cool in the summer, so these are just a few ways we do so, to have a safe and fun time.

自宅のプールで過ごすなんて、まさにアメリカ！

■A Texas Summer (part 1) 

When people hear Texas, the first thing they think is it's hot. It is true, Texas does get hot, but not all the time. Like most states, it is icy in the winter, cool in the fall, and rainy in the spring, with the occasional tornado.  

However, during the summer, it's normal to see temperatures reach anywhere from 38-45°C!  Therefore,  we have to be careful and try to stay cool and hydrated. So, how do Texans keep cool during the summer?
